What is KBook Publishing?
KBook Publishing is a self-publishing platform that gives independent authors an opportunity to publish and market their books in print and online. The expert in-house editors, designers, artists, marketers, and publicists help authors do their best at each stage of publishing to ensure their stories get accessed by millions of readers. KBook provides professional editing, proofreading, cover design, and book marketing for new and established authors who wish to get self-published smoothly and seamlessly.
Why should I work with KBook vs. other self-publishers?
KBook’s team takes pride in the professional and smooth experience they have been providing to numerous authors for over a decade. We have helped over 1000 authors get self-published and they have never looked back. The main foundation of our collaboration with authors is based on loyalty and trust. KBook takes all the measures to provide the highest-quality work that matches the standards of the publishing industry and is vouched by readers and other authors.
How long does self-publishing take?
Unlike working with traditional publishers, which can sometimes take years to complete your book, publishing with KBP can take up to 4-6 weeks. If you need to complete your book soon, please let us know ASAP to do our best to meet your needs.
Will you edit my book?
Yes, that’s one of our main publishing services. Our editing services include developmental editing, copyediting, proofreading, and manuscript critique or editorial assessment and you can avail each of these based on your preference. Our expert editors stay with you throughout the editing process and make sure they create a safe space for the exchange of ideas and better collaboration.
Will I maintain the rights to my book?
Yes. You own 100% rights to the books that you self-publish with KBook Publishing. We make sure all the authors get to keep the ownership of their books so they can publish them independently on any platform they desire and earn the most out of their sales.
Can I buy just one service?
Absolutely. Depending on the stage of publishing and your requirements, you can book one service, a few, or grab a customized package that includes all the main publishing services that will help you comprehensively. If you’ve just finished writing your book, we suggest you buy editing, proofreading, book cover design, and book marketing to make sure you receive the best of all the packages.
How much does it cost for each service?
We charge a different amount for each publishing service but our costs are quite reasonable. The prices start as low as $49
Who determines my book's price and other metadata?
Authors determine the price, description, keywords, genre, and other metadata information of their book before publishing it. For authors who aren’t aware of the current trends or they don’t know how to set prices on different digital marketplaces, we handle the job for them so they don’t have to spend time researching information.
Where will you sell my book?
Kbook Publishing works with all of the major eBook and print distributors. We distribute your books to over 40,000 wholesalers, retailers, and booksellers in over 100 countries, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Powell’s, Walmart.com, and more.
Do you accept books with images or graphics?
Yes, we do. But we recommend authors send a separate file that has all the images, tables, graphs, and other media attached in PNG or JPEG format.
Do you take a cut of my profits?
We take 0% of the proceeds from your published book. All your work is yours alone, so you keep 100% of the profit.
Can I review my book before it's published?
Definitely. Since we collaborate with you during the entire process and keep you updated about what’s going on with your book, we send you the final draft so that you can review it thoroughly and let us know if you want any changes. We’ll make sure it looks perfectly polished before it’s published.
Do I need to pay taxes on my book sales?
Yes, authors are responsible for paying taxes on their income from book sales. All authors need to report their income from book sales and pay taxes on it, even self-published authors who do not receive advances or royalties. The government may also ask you to pay estimated taxes throughout the year.
